Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
FISExplorer ("the Service") is operated by Flood AI LLC ("we", "us"). This policy describes what information we collect when you use fis.flood-ai.com and how we use it. Questions? Email info@flood-ai.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store them ourselves. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
- Study requests. When you request a study we collect the email address and community name you submit.
- Feedback. If you send feedback through the app, we store the message and the account it came from.
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the Service is used — pages visited, general device and browser information, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and grant you access to studies.
- To respond to study requests and feedback, and to email you about your account or requests (for example, verification emails and access invitations).
- To understand usage and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run FISExplorer: Google (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Analytics) and Resend (transactional email delivery). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics cookies to measure usage. Blocking cookies in your browser may prevent sign-in from working.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and associated personal data, email info@flood-ai.com and we will remove it within a reasonable time.
Security
Authentication and data storage are handled by Google Cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
